Some of our specific efforts to enhance academic diversity include but are not limited to:

• Providing scholarship support based upon academic qualifications, leadership experiences, financial need, commitment to diversity and multiculturalism,
  and other criteria that expand access to higher education for all students;
• Requiring that each student fulfill a 6 credit hour General Education Diversity Distribution requirement; Encouraging UConn students to participate in study
  abroad initiatives;
• Offering majors, minors, and graduate degrees in ethnic, international and area studies programs.
